Pricing & quotes

What it costs, and how you find out — without waiting on a callback.

How much does it cost?

We price by home size, so here's where things start: windows from $286 (screens included free), gutters from $275, pressure washing from $299, soft washing and roof washing from $400, solar panel cleaning from $180, and Christmas lights from $950 for the full season. The instant quote prices your exact address in about a minute — no waiting, no credit card.

Can I really get a price without a sales visit?

Yes. Enter your address, pick your services, and you'll see a price on the spot. We confirm it in person when we arrive before any work starts.

Will the price change once you get here?

We give you a price up front and stick to it. If your home turns out to be smaller or simpler than expected, you pay less. We don't do mid-job upcharges — that's the whole reason people call us instead of the last company.

Do you bundle services for a better price?

The real savings is HiveCare, our 12-month plan: members pay 34% less than one-off rates on every service, plus priority scheduling. Booking two or three services in one visit also beats separate trips — most folks pair windows with gutters or a full exterior wash.

Do you offer recurring or commercial pricing?

Yes. A lot of homes go on a twice-a-year rhythm, and we handle storefronts, offices, and churches too. Tell us what you need on the quote and we'll set up a plan that fits.

How do I pay, and when?

You pay after the job's done and you've walked the property with us — not before. We take cash, check, or card, and prefer card since it's easier on everyone. For online bookings a $50 deposit holds your slot and comes straight off your final bill. No deposit required to get a quote.

What payment methods do you take?

Cash, check, or card — card's our preference since it's the easiest for you and for us. You pay after the job's finished, not up front. Online bookings take a $50 deposit that comes right off the final bill.

Why are you cheaper than the national franchise that quoted me?

We're a local, owner-run crew, not a franchise paying a cut upcountry. Our prices come off a published worksheet — windows from $286, gutters from $275 — and screens, sills, and tracks are included instead of billed as extras. You're paying for the work, not the brand name.

How much does interior window cleaning cost?

Interior glass adds 50% to the exterior window price — so a home quoted at $286 for the outside is $429 for the full inside-and-out reset. Exterior-only is the popular choice; interior's there when you want the whole thing spotless.

Do you charge a trip fee or extra to come to my town?

No trip fee inside our service area. Every quote is priced by your home — the windows, the square footage, the height — not your zip code. We cover Florence, Muscle Shoals, and the whole Shoals within about 25 miles.

Booking & scheduling

How soon we can come, and why Saturdays matter.

How soon can you come out?

We stay busy — that's what staying 5.0-rated does to a schedule — but we move fast, and most weeks we can be out within days (two-day minimum lead). You lock in your exact day the moment you book your instant quote, and HiveCare members (our maintenance plan) get priority, pre-scheduled visits. And when you call, a real person answers — no phone tree, no waiting on a callback.

Do you really work Saturdays?

We do. Most of our competitors are Monday-to-Friday only, which is no help when you work weekdays. We're open Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday.

Do I need to be home for the job?

For exterior-only work, no — as long as we have access to the yard, water, and gates. For interior windows, someone needs to let us in. Either way, we'll text before we head over.

What if it rains on my scheduled day?

Light rain doesn't stop most exterior work, and clean windows actually hold up fine. If the weather's genuinely unsafe, we'll call you the day before and move you to the next open slot — no penalty.

How do I reschedule?

Just call or text 256-415-7468. You'll reach a local, not a call center, and we'll find you another day that works.

Can you clean my whole house exterior in one visit?

Yes — that's how most folks do it. Windows, gutters, pressure washing, soft wash, and roof in a single visit, one crew, one invoice. Bundling beats separate trips, and it's the fastest way to get your whole exterior reset at once.

Do I need to move my cars before you come?

For driveway or pressure washing, yes — clear the area we're cleaning so we can reach every inch. For windows and gutters it's not usually needed. We'll tell you exactly what to move when we confirm your day.

How far in advance should I book?

The calendar's open and most weeks we can be out within days, but we stay busy — booking a week or two ahead locks the day you want. Christmas lights are the exception: book those by October.

Is there a long wait to get on your schedule?

No — most weeks we've got openings. We stay busy, but we move fast, and you lock in your exact day the moment you book. HiveCare members get priority, pre-scheduled slots.

What's included

The details other companies quietly skip.

What's actually included on a window job?

Every exterior pane, plus the sills, the tracks, and the screens — those last three are the parts the big franchises leave dirty, and we include them free on every window job. Add interior glass for 50% more for the full in-and-out reset. Storm windows are welcome too.

How do you actually clean the windows?

More than a squeegee-and-go. We vacuum out the tracks and sills first, then scrub the tracks with a detail brush and rinse with clean water. We clean the window frame, and any stubborn debris on the glass comes off with a scrubbing pad — not just wiped around. For the glass itself we use Unger Green Power squeegee rubber, the best in the business, swapped out fresh after every customer so you get a streak-free finish, not a smear. That's why the sills, tracks, and screens we include come back genuinely clean.

Do you clean outside windows only, or inside too?

Both — your call. Exterior is the standard clean, and you don't need to be home for it. Add interior glass for 50% more and we do the full inside-and-out reset: every pane, plus the sills, tracks, and screens. Someone just needs to let us in for the interior part, and we take off our shoes or wear covers indoors.

Do you move furniture or take down screens?

We take down and clean your screens as part of the job, then put them back. For interior windows we'll move light furniture out of the way and set it back — we just ask that fragile or valuable items are cleared beforehand.

What's the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses high pressure for hard surfaces — driveways, concrete, decks. Soft washing uses low pressure and a plant-safe cleaner for things that can't take force, like siding, roofs, and stucco. Using the wrong one damages your home, so we match the method to the surface.

Do you clean up after yourselves?

Always. We bag and haul gutter debris instead of leaving it in your beds, rinse down the work area, and walk the property with you before we leave.

Do you remove, clean, and reinstall storm windows?

Yes — we take down old storm windows, clean them and the glass behind them inside and out, then reinstall them. Customers tell us it's the single biggest difference; one wrote that after we fought ten old storm windows, the house 'looks so much better.'

Will you protect my floors and carpet when cleaning inside?

Yes. For interior work the crew takes off their shoes or wears covers, and we're mindful of anything fragile nearby. It's the kind of detail our customers mention in reviews — we treat your home like our own.

Do you take before-and-after photos?

We do, and they're never edited — the results speak for themselves. On a lot of jobs the before-and-after on the driveway or roof alone is the part that surprises people most.

Can you handle a steep or hard-to-reach roof or gutters?

Yes. We've cleaned gutters on very steep roofs and washed roofs that hadn't been touched in 15 years. We bring the right equipment and do the risky work so you never touch a ladder — if a job's genuinely unsafe, we'll tell you straight.

Access & what to expect

The practical stuff — what we need from you on the day.

Do you need access to water and electricity?

We need an outdoor water spigot for most jobs; we bring our own equipment and, for pure-water work, our own tanks. We rarely need power. If anything's different at your place, we'll flag it when we confirm your day.

What about locked gates or dogs in the yard?

We just need the gate unlocked and pets secured so the crew can safely reach the whole exterior. Leave the gate open for us or let us know the code, and keep dogs inside during the clean.

Do I have to be home for exterior work?

No. As long as we can reach the yard, water, and gates, exterior windows, gutters, and washing can all be done while you're out. We text before we head over, and you can walk the finished job with us later. Interior windows are the only part that needs someone to let us in.

Do you work with HOAs or handle HOA requirements?

Yes. We handle property-management and HOA work, provide a certificate of insurance on request, and can quote recurring schedules so a whole community or building stays on a set rhythm. Just tell us the requirements on your quote.

Insurance, licensing & the guarantee

Who shows up, who covers it, and what happens if something is off.

Are you insured and licensed?

Yes — we carry $1,000,000 in liability coverage and we're licensed. The owner answers for every job, so if anything ever needs making right, you're talking to the person responsible, not a hotline.

Who actually shows up at my house?

A small, local, background-checked crew — usually the same faces every visit, trained and accountable to the owner. We're not a national franchise rotating strangers through your property.

What if I’m not happy with the result?

We back every job with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Tell us and we'll come back and re-clean whatever isn't right, at no charge. No argument, no fee.

Are your cleaners safe for kids, pets, and plants?

Yes. Our soft-wash mix is applied at low pressure and rinsed plant- and pet-safe. We wet down landscaping before and after so nothing gets burned.

How long have you been in business?

HoneyBee started in May 2023 and we're family-owned and family-run right here in the Shoals. In that time we've earned a 5.0 rating across 208 Google reviews and joined the International Window Cleaning Association.

Are your reviews real?

Every one. Our 5.0 across 208 reviews is public on Google — you can read them yourself, names and all. The reviews on our site are pulled verbatim from Google; we don't write or edit them.

What is HiveCare?

HiveCare is our 12-month maintenance membership. Members pay 34% less than one-off rates on every service and get priority, pre-scheduled visits — so your home stays on a set rhythm without you having to remember to call.

About the work

The questions we get on specific jobs.

Why do my windows get spots so fast after a cleaning?

Usually it's hard water from sprinklers or runoff, or screens that were never cleaned putting grime right back on the glass. We clean the screens and tracks too, which is why our work stays clear longer.

Will roof washing damage my shingles?

No — that's the point of soft washing. We never put high pressure on shingles. We apply a gentle cleaner that lifts the black streaks, moss, and lichen, which are algae actually feeding on and shortening the life of your roof.

How often should I have gutters cleaned?

Twice a year for most homes — late spring and late fall. If you've got heavy tree cover, more often. Clogged gutters send water down your siding and into your foundation, and that's a four-figure repair waiting to happen.

Can you remove the green and black streaks on my siding?

Yes. Those streaks are living algae. A pressure washer just blasts them off the surface so they grow back in months — soft washing treats them at the root, so your house stays clean far longer.

Can you clean an old driveway that has never been washed?

Yes, and those are our favorite before-and-afters. We've brought back pea-gravel and concrete driveways that hadn't been cleaned in 40+ years — we work the surface until it's right, matching the pressure so nothing etches.

When does pollen season start in Alabama, and when should I clean my windows?

In our area pollen starts around December and runs through early May. The sweet spot is cleaning after early May — once the pollen's done, your glass stays clear instead of getting recoated a week later. We clean year-round, but if you want it to last, late spring is the time.

Won't rain just make my windows dirty again?

No — rainwater is naturally pure and clean, so it won't spot or dirty freshly cleaned glass. And we stand behind it with a 30-day guarantee: if anything's not right within 30 days of a window cleaning, we come back and re-clean it free.

How do you keep the windows from streaking?

It comes down to the rubber. We run Unger Green Power squeegee rubber — the best in the business, same idea as a good windshield wiper — and we swap in fresh rubber after every single customer. Worn rubber is what streaks glass, so we never let it get to that point.

Can you get rid of hard water spots on my glass?

Most of them, yes. Hard water spotting from sprinklers and runoff is one of the most common things we fix. Severe, long-baked mineral staining sometimes only improves rather than vanishes — we'll tell you honestly what we can get before we start.

Can you remove oil or rust stains from concrete?

We lift most mildew, dirt, and surface oil in a normal pressure wash. Deep-set rust or old oil may need a specialty treatment — and if a stain will only fade rather than disappear, we say so before we start, not after.

What are the black streaks on my roof, and are they hurting it?

That's algae (Gloeocapsa magma) feeding on the limestone filler in your shingles. Left alone it spreads and shortens your roof's life. Soft washing lifts the staining and treats the algae — a clean roof is a cheaper roof than an early replacement.

Glass, coatings & tough problems

The expert stuff — why some glass issues aren't dirt, and how we protect coated and specialty glass.

My window looks foggy or cloudy between the panes — can you clean that?

Unfortunately, no — and here's the honest answer: fog or moisture between the two panes means the window's seal has failed (a failed insulated glass unit). The cloudiness is trapped inside the glass, not on the surface, so no cleaning reaches it. That's a job for a glass replacement company. We'll tell you straight when we see one rather than charge you to clean something that can't be cleaned.

My glass is cloudy or hazy and won't wash clean. Why?

If a haze won't wash off, it's usually not dirt — it's etching or oxidation, where hard water, runoff, or the wrong past cleaner has actually changed the glass surface. Regular cleaning won't fix it, but it's often restorable with a proper glass-restoration process. We'll identify what you're dealing with and tell you honestly whether it cleans up or needs restoration.

Do you clean tinted, coated, or Low-E windows safely?

Yes, and it matters who does. Coated, tinted, Low-E, and film-treated glass can be permanently damaged by the wrong cleaner — ammonia, vinegar, or abrasive pads strip coatings. As IWCA members we follow the industry glass-care standards: we identify coated glass first, avoid cleaning it in direct sun, use only mild, coating-safe methods, and test a small area before doing the whole pane.

Why should I hire a pro instead of cleaning the glass myself?

Because the wrong tools scratch glass permanently, and you can't un-scratch it. DIY cleaners with grit, the green scrubby pad, or a rusty razor leave fine scratches you'll see forever in the right light. We use pro-grade Unger squeegee rubber, glass-safe pads, and IWCA-standard methods — and we know which glass can't take what. The result lasts longer and the glass stays protected.

Can you clean high or hard-to-reach windows without ladders on the glass?

Yes. For high glass we use a pure-water (deionized) pole system — an IWCA-recognized method that cleans windows well above ground level with purified water and a soft brush, no ladder leaning on your glass and no chemical residue. It's safer for the crew and for your windows, and the glass dries spot-free.

Can hard-water stains, oxidation, or scratches on glass be fixed?

Often, yes. Beyond cracks and failed seals, most glass surface damage — hard-water etching, oxidation, light scratches, even mineral staining — can be restored rather than replaced, using professional glass-restoration methods. We'll assess it honestly: some marks buff or polish out, deep damage may not, and we'll never promise a result we can't deliver.

Do you handle commercial storefront, office, and building glass?

Yes — storefronts, offices, medical buildings, churches, restaurants, and multi-tenant properties across the Shoals. Commercial glass often means coated or specialty glazing and higher access, exactly where following IWCA glass-care standards and using pure-water pole systems pays off. We provide a certificate of insurance on request and can set a recurring schedule.

Solar panel cleaning

Our newest service — pure-water cleaning that protects your panels and your output.

How much does solar panel cleaning cost?

Solar cleaning is $18 per panel with a 10-panel minimum, so it starts from $180, priced by panel count and roof access. Your instant quote gives an exact figure in about a minute.

Will cleaning damage my panels or void the warranty?

No. We use pure deionized water and soft brushes — never high pressure or harsh chemicals. That's the method panel makers recommend, so it protects the glass, the seals, and your warranty.

How much power will I get back from cleaning my panels?

It depends how dirty they are, but soiled panels commonly lose 10–25% of their output to pollen, dust, and Shoals humidity. Cleaning restores most of that — it usually pays for itself in the power you stop giving away.

Christmas lights

Our one seasonal service — and it books up early.

What does Christmas light installation include?

We design the layout, install professional-grade LED lights on your roofline, maintain them all season, then take them down and store them in January. You get the magazine-cover roofline and skip the freezing afternoon on a ladder.

When should I book Christmas lights?

Early. We cap the number of installs we take each season so every home gets full-season service, and the calendar fills by October. If you're thinking about it, get on the list before the rush.

Do I own the lights or do you?

We provide and store commercial-grade lights as part of the service, so you're not buying tangled strands that die after one season. One price covers the whole cycle — design, install, in-season maintenance, take-down, and storage — from $950 by home size.

Can I pick the light color, or does it have to be warm white?

Your choice. We install professional C9 and C7 LEDs in warm white or color, and we'll walk the design with you — rooflines, trees, whatever look you're after. Classic warm white is the most popular, but plenty of homes go bold.

Do you install commercial or business Christmas lights?

Yes — storefronts, offices, and larger properties too. Same full-season service: design, install, in-season maintenance, take-down, and storage. Book early; commercial slots fill up alongside the residential calendar.
